There are a bunch of other FTL-likes on Steam that you might find some great inspiration from, that could really improve gameplay here. Maybe just at start, or buying them clothes/hairstyle/whatever at stations.Ĩ. The ability to change the appearance of crewmembers. The charge bar is fine, but maybe highlight the weapon in "green" when it is ready to fire and "red" when it isn't (emped or out of ammo) and have it "yellow" (instead of white) when it can be fired but is currently charging.ħ. The indicators for when a weapon is fully charged need to be more visible on the UI. We really need save positions and return to position commands from FTL.Ħ. It really stands out, compared to all the other strong efforts to make the UI and gameplay great.ĥ. I found it quite jarring when I defeated a powerful foe, and earned 10 rockets, only to discover they aren't the rockets my rocket launcher uses.Ĥ. Have universal rockets, universal mines, etc. ![]() If you get two currencies (of any kind), they should stack. > Crew equipment melee/ranged weapons, grenades, armor, personal healing items, etc.Ģ. Might require a new room, like an industrial fabricator. Then have a crafting system to craft your own stuff. > Research maybe waiting a day has a chance to unlock blueprints. maybe sitting in a nebula gives you a chance to get fuel. > Mining maybe sitting in an asteroid belt gives you some resources that can be sold or you get scrap. Hydroponics, Consuming corpses of your enemies, etc. > A way to train crew skills outside of combat. > A larger pool of skills that characters have, with higher skill levels and larger benefits for skills. Things like (to name some stuff off the top of my head): I like the FTL vibe, but it needs to have more to differentiate it from FTL than graphics and sounds (which btw are effin awesome, so great job here). ![]() After playing for a bit, have a few suggestions:ġ. ![]()
